First marketing (or marketing-related) job, and what about it made you want to stay in marketing: Cell phone sales – A weekend job in a mall, where I quickly learned a 19-year old college student buys a cell phone for very different reasons than a 68-year old retiree. Trying to determine what was important to the customer and tailoring my delivery to that was the only thing that made the job palatable (that and the free Orange Julius smoothie hookup).
